One of the biggest jobs a photographer can land is wedding photography.And photography is one of the most popular hobbies for people to undertake.  Not everyone does it for money.Wedding photography is very exciting for those who are still an amateur in this thing. So if you have a friend getting married you can surprise them with some shots that may be better than the hired photographer.So here are some advice on improving your wedding photography.

So, the first thing that you can do is to psyche yourself up to be in the moment.What am I implying when I said be in the moment?Well,almost all of us know the feeling of being in a wedding.The events here are planned to the last detail.But a lot of emotions happen during those events even if they are planned.So you should get ready for those emotions and be ready to take photos of them.Those shots that have emotions in them will be the best among all the photos that you will be taking.  In my portfolio as a San Diego wedding photographer you can see that to be the case.

Another tip is to realize the wedding is a fluid event.So do not concentrate on taking still photos of people.You will have some of your best photos if you capture the movement of the people. It is a hard trick to capture but can be done.  Of course I had to hone my skills doing event photography San Diego to be able to do this.But once you get the hang of taking shots that are not still shots you would start to love it.You have the chance of topping their hired photographer.  As an amatuer photographer that will be a great feeling.And you can even brag about your shots to your friends.  And who knows, it could lead to paying jobs.

One of the major reasons is the weather.  Most weddings are done in the summer. Well in the summer most places are going to be very hot. One of those places that is bearable is San Diego.  The weather is reasonably mild on the coast.  This also is a great reason because of your photography.  As a San Diego photographer I appreciate good weather.  It allows fantastic photos to be taken.  It provides a more comfortable shooting arrangement. Where your wedding group won't be having the heat make them uncomfortable.

Another reason is San Diego is a great event location.  It has plenty of nice hotels to accomodate your guests.It has a bunch of things to do so if your guests want they can have a mini vacation. Doing San Diego event photography has allowed me to see how this works out beautifully.Don't forget that weddings are huge events taking place  So what you are doing as a photographer is in reality event photography.  San Diego offers a great location for this.

People think it is very easy to take good pictures especially now with the onset of many digital cameras. That is far from the truth. First thing that you should look for in a photographer is his/her rapport with you as a customer.I think it does not need to be metioned.  But I have heard many horror stories as a San Diego photographer of people choosing photographers they don't get along with.This will lead to a lot of problems.They could be headstrong and not obey what you want to be taken and just take what they want to take.He/She might not be suited to work with you since he/she might not be able to bring out the best in you.Hiring someone that goes along well with you is the key.
