Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? I can find keywords all day long. Most of what I find are useless though.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. A big company like that wouldn't give false results, would they? As it happens, they aren't always accurate.
What you see (the data) is not what you get. But it will have been spot on at some time. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. I started churning out articles by the bucket load.
Soon after I noticed Google telling me there was about 9000 competing pages now. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? I was relieved to see that an awful lot of these competitors were showing my articles.
The point I'm trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A win win situation if you ask me.
I decided now to try a keyword research service as I couldn't keep relying on luck. My hope was to get some 'killer' keywords delivered by email every day. I did a few calculations and came to the conclusion that research services, though not cheap, were value for my dollar.
I chose to give Travis Sago's Instacash keyword service a go. Travis is the original bum marketer. Bum marketing only costs my time so it's my kind of marketing.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. If I can save two hours work each day that's something I'll grab with both hands. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I see this as an outsourcing project. I'm outsourcing my keyword research to a professional service.
If you want to know how I got on with the keyword research service head on over to my website and see for yourself how it turned out. I mentioned earlier about getting thousands of articles published for a good keyword. I'll explain how I did that on my site.
